For broiler farms

Follow each flock from chicks in to birds out

Keep placement, mortality, feed and weight records together. PoultryDesk tracks each flock as a Lot, so you can see how it is growing and what remains to harvest.

From placement to closeout

  1. Place the chicks

Record the source, breed, arrival date and bird count against the right site and houses. Birds that arrive older than a day keep their actual age.

  2. Record the daily work

Enter deaths, feed used and weight samples on a phone against the right flock and house. Review the records together as the birds grow.

  3. Harvest and account for every bird

Record each harvest with its count and weight. Close the Lot once harvested birds, deaths and any reasoned count adjustments account for the placement.

  4. Sell the birds

Sell harvested birds, or choose live birds by grade and record their measured weight in the same sale. Take cash or mobile money, or put the sale on the customer's account.

What your records show

Birds alive and mortality
See the remaining count and recorded losses. Corrections keep the original entry and the reason for the change.
Growth and feed conversion
Review average weight from samples, total feed used and feed conversion ratio (FCR). These figures depend on the records you enter.
Feed and stock
Measured feed use belongs to the Lot that consumed it and draws down the selected inventory. Estimated feed stays labelled separately.

Before you start

What happens if birds are under treatment?

An active medication withdrawal blocks harvest and sale until it clears. Record treatments under Health and check the Lot's withdrawal status before harvest. Read about withdrawal periods

Can I see whether a batch made money?

Yes, from Grower (Pro). Sales and costs are recorded against the Lot, so each batch shows what it earned and spent. Shared costs such as electricity can be split across Lots. How cost splitting works

Can I record without a signal?

Open the app and the capture screen while connected first. New daily captures can then queue on that device. Loading another date's stock context, reviewing some corrections and other server checks still need a connection. Check the offline guide
