Your account and security
Open My account (/account) from your profile menu or phone More menu.
Finish setting up your account
- Open the verification email sent when you sign in.
- Choose Verify my email within 30 minutes.
- If needed, Resend after one minute. Use the latest link; it works once.
Contact support if the displayed address is wrong. Farm access waits for verification; existing records stay intact and offline entries sync afterwards.
Your name and email
Change Name and save. Your sign-in email cannot be edited here. Verify it beside the displayed address.
Changing your password
- Enter Current password.
- Enter and confirm a New password of at least 8 characters.
- Choose Update password.
An ordinary change leaves existing sessions signed in. If someone else may have access, use Forgot password?: resetting signs out every earlier session. Tell an Owner if access also needs removing.
Two-step verification
Owners and Billing admins can enable emailed codes or an authenticator app. An authenticator set up for automatic card payments is already enabled.
Emailed codes
Choose Use emailed codes, confirm your password and Turn on emailed codes. Sign-in then needs the emailed 6-digit code: single-use, valid for 10 minutes. Send a new code replaces it. To disable, choose Turn off emailed codes and confirm your password.
Authenticator app
- Choose Use an authenticator app, confirm your password and Continue.
- Scan the QR code, copy the setup key, or choose Open on this phone. Setup expires after five minutes; use Start again if needed.
- Copy or download recovery codes and confirm you saved them privately.
- Enter the app's 6-digit code and Turn on two-step verification.
This replaces emailed codes. If a code fails, set your phone's time automatically.
Recovery codes
Save codes somewhere reachable without your phone. They are shown once. Regenerate recovery codes replaces all unused old codes and may ask for an authenticator or recovery code first. Save the new set before closing.
Turning it off
Choose Turn off two-step verification, confirm Turn off and supply a code when asked. Automatic card changes will require setup again. Lost both phone and recovery codes? Contact support for an identity-checked reset; email access alone is insufficient.
Sign-in alerts
Emails warn about a new device, many failed sign-ins or repeated password resets. Unrecognized activity? Reset your password; Owners and Billing admins should also enable two-step verification. Alerts do not lock your account.
When you are asked to set a new password
For an account created with a temporary password, enter your own password twice (at least 8 characters). Save, then sign in again. Other screens stay locked until this is done.
When PoultryDesk support asks for access
An Owner receives the support person's name, ticket, reason and requested duration (up to 60 minutes).
- Open the emailed request within 30 minutes and sign in as its named Owner.
- Read it and enter your authenticator code if asked.
- Approve or Decline. Ignoring it keeps support out.
Approval lets support act as you for the approved time. Decline unexpected requests.
While support is in your account
Support sees a red session banner. Changes carry a Support session audit badge. They cannot manage your personal account, notifications or members, approve more access, or perform actions needing an authenticator code.
End a session early
Open Settings > Security > Support access and End session. Any Owner can end it immediately. The approving Owner receives the filtered audit link when it ends; Audit > Filters also accepts the Support session id.
Emergency access
Two platform administrators may authorize up to 30 minutes of emergency access. Every active Owner is emailed and can end it under Settings > Security. End unexpected access and contact support.
