Track each egg set as a Lot, from receipt to chick transfer.
Before you start
Create your site and a house for the setter. Each egg set is a Lot.
Set the eggs
Open Lots > + New lot and choose Hatchery as the Vertical. Give the set a name (for example H-03), enter Eggs set and Set on, choose the site and house, then Place lot and confirm.
To set more eggs into the same Lot later, open it, choose + Record and pick Set as the Capture step.
Receive the eggs
To record eggs bought in, with their cost, open the Lot, choose + Record and pick Receive. Enter Eggs received; Breed and Unit cost are optional.
Candle

Choose Record candling on the Lot, or + Record > Candle. Enter the Candling day, then Viable, Infertile and Dead-in-shell counts. You can candle more than once; viable eggs cannot exceed eggs set.
Record the hatch
Choose + Record > Hatch and enter Live chicks, Late deads and Culls. Live chicks cannot exceed the viable eggs at candling, or the eggs set if you did not candle. Closed Lots refuse further hatch, candling or transfers.
Transfer chicks out
Choose + Record > Transfer and enter Chicks transferred out.
- Into your own flock: type a new batch name in Into your own batch (for example B-25) and choose its Batch type. The batch opens with these chicks, so do not place it again.
- Sold or sent off the farm: leave Into your own batch blank.
Each transfer reduces the chicks waiting to go out.
Reconcile leftover chicks
Use Lot actions > Reconcile chicks for chicks culled, died or unaccounted before transfer. Review the remaining balance and submit. Accounting for every chick closes the Lot automatically; never invent a transfer.
Close the lot
Use Lot actions > Close lot after every chick is transferred or reconciled. The action stays unavailable while any await transfer.
Correct a set
Before closeout, managers can enter corrected total eggs set, not the difference. Date, Site, House (cabinet) and Breed are optional; keep loaded values to leave them unchanged. Give a reason of at least 10 characters and Save correction. It can queue offline and preserves history. Closed sets and counts below already-hatched live chicks are blocked.
Review records in the Events tab
Filter Events by date/type for reconciliations and lifecycle records. Each links to Audit. Incubation, Candling, Hatch and Transfers keep their own records.
What you get
Overview shows fertility, hatch rate and chick balance. Use the stage tabs for details, Inventory for movements, and Audit for history.
