Recording data without a signal

Daily entries save on your device first and send when connected.

How it works

Enter figures and submit. Queued confirms the local save; do not submit again. On the mortality, feed and water, and egg rounds, the badge turns to Saved once the entry sends, or to Rejected with the reason if it was not accepted.

A mortality round saved with no network: the Offline chip shows at the top and the B-24 entry carries a Queued badge.

Measured feed can queue after the selected day's context loads. Feed correction and Not fed need checked history with no pending decisions. Historical Feed preview/confirmation requires connection to check birds, stock, cost and prior records. Use manual capture for measured figures.

The sync chip

  • Synced: entries reached the server.
  • Queued: the number waiting on this device.
  • Needs review: the server could not accept an entry.

Tap the chip or open Sync to inspect entries.

The queue

The Sync outbox listing one mortality entry with the status Queued.

Queued entries send automatically when connected. Keep this device's saved data intact until they sync.

When an entry needs review

Read the reason, choose Edit and retry, correct the prefilled values and submit. A stale correction keeps your values and reason for review.

Signing back in

Sign in to send means your session expired. Sign in as the original recorder on the same device/address; the queue resumes automatically. Another user's session cannot send your entries.

What to expect

Entries stay on the recording device until accepted. Screen updates wait while you type. Attachment uploads need connection and do not queue like daily figures.
