Organization settings

Owners manage these settings for the whole team.

Your organization's details

Open Settings > Organization, update the fields, then save.

The organization profile with the farm name, the Africa/Nairobi timezone, operation type and size.

  • Timezone decides record dates, report periods and quiet hours. Check it before recording figures.
  • Contact email and phone appear on business documents. Include the phone's country code; local numbers convert using your country. Kenyan payments need this number. Address is optional. These are separate from sign-in details.
  • Operation type and Operation size tailor guidance without restricting which Lots you can open.
  • Country sets billing when first recorded: Kenya uses KES, others USD. Later edits do not move existing billing; contact us if relocating.
  • Your organization's web address is permanent.

Defaults your money forms open on

Open Settings > Finance, choose Default currency and, where available, Default units, then save. Each money form can still use its own values. Currency is available on every plan; other Finance settings need the module.

Aging bands

Set Early, Middle and Late band in increasing days, then Save settings. They group unpaid balances in reports and exports unless a report sets its own bands.

Payment instructions

Under Customer payment instructions, enter up to 500 characters of payment details for customer statements. Leave blank to omit the block.

Signing in through your own identity provider

Enterprise Owners can configure Settings > Single sign-on. Copy PoultryDesk's service-provider details into your provider, then return its issuer, HTTPS sign-in URL, certificate and email/name attributes. Both response and assertion must be signed. Saving needs recent two-step confirmation; passwords keep working. Follow the SAML setup.

Security alerts

Open Settings > Security to review unusual invitations, withdrawal overrides or role changes. Filter by severity, status or alert type. Alerts flag activity without blocking it and are retained for 365 days.

Review an alert

  1. Choose Review.
  2. Select Acknowledge, Escalate to support, or Resolve.
  3. Enter What you checked or did and save the decision.

Owners can make every decision; others need the matching permissions. Escalation needs priority support (Business or Enterprise), emails support and shows With support. Acknowledged or escalated alerts can still be resolved. Acknowledging or resolving quiets the same alert for that person for seven days.

Notifications

Owners receive in-app and email alerts, limited to one per channel each hour; all alerts still appear in the list. Change Security anomaly detected under Settings > Notifications.
