Sites and houses

A Site is a farm or premises. A House is a building or hatchery cabinet inside it. Create these before placing Lots. You need Locations access on your plan and permission to record location changes.

Add a site

  1. Open Locations > Sites > Add site.
  2. Enter a unique Site code (up to 40 characters) and Name (up to 120).
  3. Add optional Notes (up to 500), then submit.

Use Notes for an address. Duplicate codes are refused. Saved sites open the list; offline sites queue and appear after sync. Unsubmitted drafts restore on this device. Use Edit to rename without losing history.

Add houses

The Neema Hills - Nakuru site page listing its three houses with code, name, floor area and housing system.

Open the parent site. Each house needs a code unique within that site and a name. Floor area in square metres is optional: blank means unmeasured, not zero. There is no bird-capacity field. Area can determine shared-cost allocation. Set optional Housing system when editing a house; placements then inherit it.

Add houses in bulk

The Add houses form asking how many houses to add, with a Generate rows button.

  1. On the destination site, choose Add houses.
  2. Enter up to 50 and Generate rows.
  3. Check each unique code and name; rename it or remove a row as needed.
  4. Enter optional area where measured, then submit.

Codes continue after existing houses. Retry failed rows only; saved rows are not duplicated. Offline rows queue until connection returns. Expand a house on the site page for details; use its row action to edit.

More than one site

Add a Site per farm. Reports can show one Site or the organization; stock and costs stay attached to their locations.

Editing and archiving

Edit to rename; archive to remove unused locations from active lists while keeping their history.
